Simular to the Horse Rasp in its application usage. However, rather than rasp teeth on the coarse side and chisel made teeth on the fine side like a Horse Rasp, the Horse File has coarse staright milled teeth on one side and fine straight milled teeth on the other side. This is more expensive to manufacture but the advantages to the Horse File over the Horse Rasp are: Teeth cut to the very edge of the file for filing in clips, longer tool life, smoother finish, 15 - 20% lighter weight meaning less work load and most importantly faster material removal.
